1. Who we are

Chak Kei MA (“we”) operates AI Business Live at ai-business.live. For privacy questions contact contact@ai-business.live.

2. What we collect

Account & contact: email address when you join the waitlist, sign in via magic link, or publish/apply to jobs.

Session: an authentication cookie (ab_session) to keep you signed in.

Conversation data: text you submit in spec interviews, profile onboarding, and public profile Q&A — stored to provide the service and resume sessions.

Job board: job posts derived from your specs, application messages, and links between users and builder profiles.

Technical: our hosting provider may log IP addresses, timestamps, and request metadata for security and operations.

Analytics: server-side event names (e.g. spec finalized, job application) and non-identifying properties — we do not use third-party advertising cookies on this site.

3. Why we use data

To run the platform: interviews, drafts, profiles, job board, authentication, and email notifications (e.g. sign-in links, application alerts).

To improve reliability and understand feature usage (aggregated analytics).

To comply with law and protect the service from abuse.

4. AI and third-party processors

When you use spec or profile features, your messages are sent to our LLM provider (currently Minimax) to generate responses. Do not submit secrets you do not want processed by AI.

Minimax may process your messages outside your country, including in jurisdictions that may differ from Germany, Hong Kong, or Taiwan.

Infrastructure: Zeabur (hosting, PostgreSQL database), Cloudflare (DNS), Zeabur ZSend (transactional email). These providers process data on our instructions.

Processors may store or process data outside your country. We rely on their safeguards and contractual terms.

5. Retention

We retain account, conversation, and job data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after account deletion or prolonged inactivity, unless a longer period is required by law.

You can delete your account at any time under Account → Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your posts, applications, profiles, and associated conversation data.

Magic-link tokens expire after 15 minutes; auth sessions expire after 30 days unless you sign out.

Server logs and analytics may be retained for a limited period for security and debugging.

6. Legal bases (EU/UK users)

Contract: processing needed to provide the service you request.

Legitimate interests: security, analytics, and improving the platform, balanced against your rights.

Consent: where we ask you to confirm drafts or join the waitlist — you can withdraw consent by contacting us.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability.

To exercise rights, email contact@ai-business.live or delete your account in Account settings. We may need to verify your identity.

EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

8. Children

The service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

In some EU countries the minimum age for information society services without parental consent is 13–16. If you are under the applicable age in your country, do not use the service without parental consent.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date will change. Material changes may be communicated on the site or by email where appropriate.
